MULUNGUNI

Population – 200-300

There is absolutely no structure here since they have no cash to build any solid and decent mosque or housing. They have only one open mosque of which a partition lays in the middle separating the ladies and gents. Since it hardly ever rains in that area, it is completely dry and dusty and naturally, no availability of water. A lot can be done there.

The roads to this area were quite good and had been built by the late Garis Maitha and the area leads to Kwale and Kinango districts. We received a letter from the Chair-person there asking for help.
Basic requirements such as food and water were not available for them and since we had a surplus in food, we decided to get it distributed in that area.
This was also a golden opportunity for the spread of Shiasm.

They have only one open mosque of which a partition lays in the middle separating the ladies and gents. Since it hardly ever rains in that area, it is completely dry and dusty and naturally, no availability of water. For water, they need to travel to Samburu which is 25kms away. The people are very poor and on the way there we saw a cow having just died, all weak and another not very far off dying.  Also we witnessed one man right in the middle of the road all weak and in a very poor state unable to breathe.A lot can be done there. We had a talk with the chairman and he is prepared to give us four students so we can train them just like how the program is at Matuga.
We paid them to get their makuti roof, also gave food & clothes, bed sheets for their mosque. They are in dire need of a proper mosque & classrooms need to be built for them...
currently, there is a malim who goes there to teach the people but he is not very much learned and thus needs to be trained by us.
This is all Work in progress. We can train the malim in Mombasa.
They are also in dire need of water.
A borehole or well can be dug there
Aims:
Building a mosque and water facilities.
